Freelance Instructor, Personal Trainer, Sports Masseuse
Who Am I?
I have worked in the fitness industry for around 15 years as a freelance instructor/personal trainer and I am currently a Health and Exercise Practitioner working within the NHS with people who suffer with physical and mental health problems. I work within a team of physiotherapist and occupational therapist and our aims are to engage de-motivated people in improving health and healthy lifestyles. I specialized in exercise prescription for people who suffer with physical health problems and I am the specialist exercise practitioner for mental health services. I qualified as an obesity management consultant which enabled me to gain the skills and knowledge for running ‘Well Being’ groups for people struggling to change. I am the course leader for facilitation of gym based exercise programmes for south west Yorkshire mental health trust and have successfully trained staff to help support gym sessions for this client group.
I am a practicing sports massage therapist and have additional skills for working with sports injuries and/or associated occupational health problems.
What Do I Offer?
At Iveridge, I work in group classes offering a range of step/tone/boxercise/circuit training classes and will also be joining the team on Tuesday mornings for small group training. I am a Personal Trainer and enjoy working with people who struggle to meet their targets.
What Do I Do To Stay In Shape?
I am lucky enough to work alongside professionals at Iveridge who encourage staff to join in their classes or small group sessions. At Iveridge we have the best trainers so where else would I go?!!! I love small group training in particular, but do enjoy a good dance class!!
